If you have an order from your doctor or healthcare provider for an ultrasound, no appointment is needed. Ultrasound services are available on a walk-in basis with minimal wait times. You may also choose to schedule your ultrasound at a time most convenient for you. How to Prepare for Your Ultrasound:

On the day of your Ultrasound:

Specific instructions will be provided to you based on your scheduled exam type, however general instructions are as follows:

  • Nothing by mouth after midnight the night prior to your exam.
  • No gum or smoking: this produces air in the stomach and colon and can hinder the ability to complete your procedure.
  • Necessary medications ok with small amount of water.
  • Empty bladder 90 minutes before your exam check-in time.
  • Drink 32 ounces of water 1 hour before your exam.
  • DO NOT empty bladder.
  • Empty bladder 30 minutes before your exam check-in time.
  • Drink 16 ounces of water 1 hour before your exam.
  • DO NOT empty bladder.
